Austin Turley became depressed and suicidal after a classmate died following an accident at school. Turley's mother took him to Inland Northwest Behavioral Health for help but instead of admitting Austin, staff called the police when he told them he had thoughts of hurting others. Austin was arrested and spent weeks in juvenile detention.

Julia Lo Cascio wants to be a pediatrician like the one who served as her “guiding light” when she was a child with a congenital heart condition. In her final year at NYU Grossman Long Island School of Medicine, a school devoted to educating primary care doctors, she is applying for a residency in pediatrics.
