PORTLAND, Ore.—(May 24, 2016)—The Oregon Medical Association (OMA) has named Aaron Ragan-Fore the organization’s director of marketing and communications.
“We’re really pleased to have Aaron as a member of the team,” said Bryan Boehringer, the OMA’s CEO and executive vice president. “The skills and innovation Aaron brings to the job will help us reach the next level in our communications strategy.”
Formerly a professional communicator for the University of Oregon, Ragan-Fore will serve as the OMA’s liaison to media representatives. He will also head print outreach, including flagship publication Medicine in Oregon; as well as the organization’s digital footprint, including management of the OMA website and social media.
“The OMA is doing important work, both in Salem and by partnering with medical practices across the state,” said Ragan-Fore. “I’m ready to hit the ground running to advocate for Oregon’s medical professionals.”
Ragan-Fore holds a Bachelor’s degree from Northwestern University and a Master’s degree in journalism from the University of Oregon. He previously worked as director of communications for the UO School of Music and Dance, where he rebranded the institution, and as a senior communications editor in the UO Office of Admissions. Ragan-Fore was creative director for the UO’s “Call Me a Duck” viral video.
An award-winning writer and recipient of an Oregon Literary Fellowship, Ragan-Fore has extensive experience writing for publications including Eugene Weekly and Eugene Magazine.
