PORTLAND, Ore.—(August 22, 2016)—The Oregon Medical Association (OMA) has selected Trevor Beltz as its new associate director of government relations.
Beltz brings to the OMA years of experience at the state and local levels of government, in both the public and private sectors. Most recently Beltz worked as an associate for Dalton Advocacy, Inc., where he helped manage a dynamic list of clients during the 2016 Legislative session and interim.
No stranger to the OMA, Trevor also spent several years as chief of staff and deputy campaign manager to the late Sen. Alan Bates, DO, focusing heavily on health care policy and budget issues.
“We’re excited to bring Trevor on board at the OMA to round out our strong Government Relations staff,” said Bryan Boehringer, CEO and Executive Vice President of the OMA.
“He brings an intimate knowledge of the legislative process, and has worked hard to develop a reputation for honesty, approachability and hard work,” Boehringer added.
Beltz will support Courtni Dresser, the OMA’s Director of Government Relations, in carrying out the association’s advocacy agenda in local, county, state and federal governments. He will also assist in the management of the Oregon Medical PAC (OMPAC) and grassroots advocacy management.
“Trevor was always easy and helpful to work with as a staffer in Senator Bates’ office, and we are happy to have him join the team,” said Dresser.
Beltz holds a Bachelor of Arts in Government from Claremont McKenna College. He began his OMA duties in mid-August.
