OHSU/Moda Health Correction

August 19, 2016

An article that appeared in The Lund Report yesterday incorrectly said that a merger was likely between OHSU and Moda Health. OHSU will never merge with Moda, according to Tamara Hargens-Bradley, associate director of medical relations for OHSU Strategic Communications. However, no decision has yet been made regarding the letter of intent signed by OHSU last November. OHSU still has the option of converting its $50 million surplus note into a 25 percent equity position in Moda Health, and that decision is expected to be made later this year. We regret the error.

Here's the corrected version of that story which also appears on our home page. Also, as indicated in the story the discussion about a vote pertains to a private board that Connie Seeley serves on and has no relation to OHSU business.
