Tuality, Providence Issue Statement on Affiliation Discussions

August 8, 2012 -- In response to numerous media inquiries, Tuality Healthcare and Providence Health and Services would like to release the following statement:

Tuality Healthcare and Providence Health & Services have entered discussions on an affiliation to better meet the health care needs of the communities they serve. This may include opportunities such as integrating specific clinical and administrative services and improving community health access. These discussions do not include the sale, transfer of control or governance of Tuality Healthcare to Providence Health & Services. Tuality Healthcare and Providence Health & Services will remain separate employers, and Tuality will remain an independent hospital.
